Photographer’s Note
Pilings and rocks which make up one of the few jettys near the end of Folly Beach near Charleston.
Sand deposited from the tides has nearly completey covered the wooden portion of this structure.

Hi Gray
I liked the composition you created here.
Very good DOF, POV and sharpness.
The sun is stunning and I would like to see the photo in full colours.
Good work
well done

Hi Gray, what a nice B&W shot. The composition with those wooden pillars and their shadow entering into the water gives a very good depth and leads the attention to incoming waves. I like the water and the playing around the front wood pillars.
Have a good weekend, Peter

Hi Gary,
Very interesting B&W shot of this battered sandy beach. I love the fine details to the wooden pilings and cresting waves ponding on the sand, also like the way the distant clouds hang of the distant horizon.

Gray,
Thanks so much for you comments and kind words. I have not seen the color version of this obviously, but I already prefer it to be black and white, It really bring out the contrast and light in this image. Charleston, I like to visite one of this day.

Hi Gray,
Love this shot of yours too. Excellent POV, clarity, and composition. Although I might have cropped the image a bit more on the right. The B/W treatment is a nice touch, and emphasizes the time it has taken for the ocean sand to have buried the posts.
Regards,
Rachel
