Copenhagen Façades
Today it's time for another little experiment. During my stroll on and around the island of Slotsholmen last Friday, I also walked through the old part of Copenhagen, with a lot of narrow streets with many picturesque façades.
Here I got the idea to put some of those façades together in a collage and here you can see the result.
The four façades you can see here are all close to each other, so in the map view you can see their location roughly.
The exact locations are:
Façade upper left hand side: Snaregade,
Façade upper right hand side: Knabrostræde,
Façade bottom right hand side: Snaregade,
Façade bottom left hand side: Nybrogade.

Hi Lars, nice viewpoint here, it looks like a little painting. I would maybe increase the contrast a bit to enhance the colors. Well done!

Hi Lars, You have highlighted the characteristic of the houses in that area. I like the view for each one of the repetitive patterns of the similar window. The windows are different in comparison side by side, the building styles are different as well. Thanks for the detailed study.

A specila compo this way; perhaps I would have made the frames a different more contrasting colour, but I like the colourful and detailed compo.

Eens een ander mogelijkheid om vier verschillende gevels te tonen, en door het feit dat u de sterk gekleurde diagonaal geplaatst heeft geeft een extra schakering aan uw beeld, voormij is de linkse boven de mooiste gevel.

An interesting and successful experiment Lars. You have obviously thought about the placement of each facade as you have the timber frames diagonally opposite and the coloured ones on the other diagonal.

Hej Lars, ik zag de meervoudsvorm niet in de naam dus dacht dat een post-moderne architect een indrukwekkend collage gebouw had gebouwd en jij het geschoten ;-) Maar deze compilatie is even interesant als het veronderstelde gebouw. Goed gematched (diagonaal en het rhythme van de ramen) en gecomponeerd. Heel fijn en kleurrijk grafisch werk,

Hi Lars,
Superb lines and graphics. Until I looked closely, it appeared that these buildings were actually adjoining one another. The colour saturation level seems just right on my monitor. Good crisp detail and well cropped. A very successful presentation.

Schitterende gevelcollage. Alleen linksonder had misschien iets ander gesneden kunnen worden. Maar dat neemt niet weg dat dit een zeer origineel en zeer uitgevoerd werk is.

An interesting collage of harmonious shapes and colours. There is also good rhythm and variety that we are able to see from the different windows. I must say it is very entertaining trying to make out what are inside and behind the windows. Great idea and you have done a good job!! Regards.

Nice little experiment LarZ. Sometimes I think what a picture would be like if you printed it and put it on the wall for some months, and in this case I think this one would be a bit too busy, but it is nice to view here and you serve us this selection very nicely.

I liked your experiment, Lars! When I looked at the thumbnail I thought it was really a "special" street with great façades, but now I understood...
