Photographer’s Note
Story from Crete would not be complete without some pictures of cities. Cities, towns, villages on Crete are wonderful and full of beautiful alleys. A daydream for a photographer.
Once you are happy with those nice colors and shapes please note that these houses do not seem rich. And they are not. A daily life in one of those places is probably not that colorful as for us tourists. Good news is thing are changing for better there. Slowly.

5 years ago we went for a 2 weeks holiday on Crete. It was still ma analogue photography period and since then I enjoyed watching printed copies of what I saw there.
I decided to digitalize my memories to have them easier accesible from my computer and also to improve some of the shots which I believed had "a potential".

Bonjour Marek,
la charme des vieilles pierres et des vieilles rues étroites, intactes face au modernisme, une atmosphère d'un autre temps, une scène d'un vieux film.

Les villes et villages tout autour de la méditérannée ont leur charmes, mais en dehors des hotels et des palaces la vie n'est pas toujours rose. Mais parfois je me demande si ils ne sont pas plus heureux que nous, il vivent au rythme du soleil.J'aime beaucoup cette photo, elle est criante de vérité.

I was twice in Crete in the 90s and I remember exact that alleys you are showing with that picture.

CZe¶æ Marek, bardzo ³±dnie i bardzo romantycznie pokaza³e¶ stare uliczki Rethymnonu. Mia³em okazje je widzieæ osobi¶cie i twierdzê ze sa takie urocze jak na Twojej fotografii.
