Photographer’s Note

The second day of our hike in the mountains in September brought us up the valley of Lillådörren. The south part of the valley is senn here and this part is a long shallow and funnel shaped valley that leads up to a pass with a treshold that is about 200 m higher than the valley below.

Lillådörren means Little Creek Door. The word "dörr" or "door" is however not a correct translation. The origin for "dörr" in the mountains is the Lappish word "durre" that means a long U-shaped valley.

The masterplan for this trip was to go up into the pass, sleep close to the pass overnight and get some nice trekking to some mountaintops the next day. We managed the first part of that but the trip to the tops did not seem interesting in the snowstorm the next day.
