Photographer’s Note
The little church of St Valentin lays between the villages of Kastelruth-Castelrotto and Seis-Siusi at the foot of the Schlern. It was mentioned for the first time in 1244 and was restored and covered with beautiful frescos during the following century. Inside there is a precious small gothic altar. Unfortunately the church is almost always closed.
The view goes here towards the West (Bolzano) on an afternoon and the light is not the best on the church but I liked the composition.

Bellissima fotografia di una nitidzza incredibile. Probabilmente la chiesa all'interno e' molto bella, ma e' il paesaggio forse ad essere piu' interessante. Prospettiva perfetta, la vista si perde lontano, stupendi i colori e la posizione dell'albero, sembra indicare dove guardare.

Fantastic shot Guenther, it looks almost like it's in 3D. The colourful, clear foreground gradually gives way to the misty mountains in the distance. A lovely well balanced shot expertly composed.

Sehr schöne Bergidylle aus Südtirol, Günther. Der farbenfrohe Baum ist gut im Vordergrund platziert, und die abschüssige Aussicht ins Tal, mit der Kirche als weiteres Kernelement der Bildkomposition, ist gut eingefangen. Der Effekt mit dem die Bergzüge allmählich im Nebel bzw. Dunst verschwinden ist auch sehr nett. Well done.

Splendida immagine. L'autunno per fotografare i paesaggi è la stagione migliore, non c'è dubbio. Sensazione di grande seranità ma anche di malinconia. Bellissime le catene sullo sfondo sempre più sfumate: un lungo addio alle stagini calde che se ne vanno. Com'era verde la mia valle. Se posso vengo a trovarti uno di questi giorni. Ciao Gae

che bellisssima vista! Mi ricorda i quadri dei macchiaioli (o di Segantini), soprattutto per il faggio rosso e giallo.
La luce sfumata a me piace molto, per i colori pastello e il senso delle grandi distanze.
A me dà allegria, mi fa pensare a noci e caldarroste (per non parlare del mosto...)

Bellissimo panaorama, begli accostamenti di colore, grazie all'"aiuto" dell'autunno... mi piace la dominanza dei due alberi in primo piano e la linea di fuga indicata dal campanile che si proietta sulle vallate.

Hi Guenther! What a pity the light was against you, but I like the panorama of the mountains very much, as well as the red-leaved tree. I believe, the general composition is great. I would just show a little less of the grass in the foreground, since I am a big violator of the
notorious "rule of thirds" (I like to show more sky or sea), but it's only me. :) I guess, your following this rule is very good. Irina
