Photographer’s Note
Second photo of the series Fall Rhapsody. I took this photo at pretty much the same place where the first photo was taken i.e. near the Tabaret Hall in University of Ottawa.
It was a beautiful fall day and it made playing with the leaves was so much of fun. If I had to pick the season that I like the best in eastern Canada; I think it would be the Fall, my only regret about it is that it lasts for such a short time, unlike winters that are like never ending.
Anyways here is an Autumnal/Fall scene for you, something most of the eastern Canadians are so accustomed to. Well I must mention that there are many people in Canada who are scared of Fall season for two main reasons:
a) When you grow up in these kind of environs, you don't see anything special about it.
b) The main reason why some people are scared of fall is because it depicts the onset of long and cold winters when everything would be under snow cover for something like 4-5 months.
It is quite a feeling when you see the first fallen leaf sometime in September, you just know that winter is around the corner. At this point one can either get depressed thinking about what lies ahead or try to make the best of the fall season. The good strategy is to look for the positive side of what life shoves up in your face. btw Since I am quite a bit into winter sports, I love winters too.
I guess this was the Fall review in a nutshell.
Critiques and comments would be appreciated.

Amazing colours! I also like the way you used the fence on the right and the trees on the left to give structure to the scene, by mirroring each other. Wonderful!

Hi Sarju,
Nice POV here. I like the way you have included the fence in your right which contrasts beautifully with the autumn colours. It is really a treat to see so bright a colour all around you and the climate complimenting your mood. Very well taken

Hi Sarju,
I guess the fall colours are nature's way of enlightening and cheering you up as a preparation for the winter. I like the way you divide the space and cleverly balancing the composition with the fence and the trees. I also find the open space useful as it helps to clear those depressing feeling. Well done and wonderfully captured!! Thanks and regards.

Hi Sarju, I like the warm fall colors in this picture. The carpet-alike fall leaves on the ground really made this picture special. It is about the time to arrange the schedule to see those colors in the mountain. A nice perspective view of the fence on the side leading our view to the background. The read houses in the background well matches the foliage colors. Nice shot. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sarju,
Well, don't get depressed right now, you still have some 'summer' time before winter comes. Enjoy the summer sports, you'll hqve enough winter sports later :o)
I like your POV here, giving a big importance to the fence, thus increasing this nice contrast between the fallen leaves and the black elements. The sky is a bit bright on the right, but well, doesn't really matter...
Well done !
Youssef.

Hello Sarju.
Beautiful composition.
Now I know where all the leaves of your first pic are.
As for myself,Fall is a season I like because the oppressive heat of summer is over, and that winter is coming at last.I always find winter too short by the way.
As for this photo,it reminds me of all the hours I played in the leaves while I was young, and later with my daughters.
Have a nice and good summer.
see you

Hi Sarju,
Fall was always my favorite season when I lived in Canada, what beautiful red thorghout the picture. I would cut off a bit of the lower part and focused a bit more on the houses.

Hi Sarju,
A colourful, well composed shot, with a riot of leaves that so epitomizes eastern Canada in the fall. I have often pondered as to why many people find fall depressing, because its my favourite season...I like your POV here looking down the wrought iron fence; very artistically rendered. Great job.

Hi Sarju - wonderful automnal composition, nice warm colours given by the leaves, I really miss seeing these sights since I moved to a boring "eternal spring" climate.

Hi Sarju,
Great shot. The Canadian fall colours always atracted me and this one is especially good. Very nice composition having the facing heading to the house. Nice note too.
Well done.

Hi Sarju,
A very nice frame, almost and abstract. Lots of geometrical shapes.
Here it looks a little over saturated, but it is a matter of taste.

J.

Fall is just around the corner here, and your photo has reminded me of what I have to look forward to! I love it, great colors and use of the lines in the fence and the trees to help compose the shot. Coming from a fall society, I didn't appreciate how beautiful it is until I moved away for awhile, so I think your comments in your note are all too accurate!

LOL, you're right about people up north being afraid of fall! We love it here since our winters are mild and the summers are so hot. We're happy to cool off a touch.
Cheers!

Lovely work you have here Sarju. And your title, in a way, romanticized this scenery. It is like a continuance of a love story in autumn.

Hi Sarju,
I hear, agree and second your thoughts on the "fall" season...you have encapsulated my feeling on this beatutiful time of year. Beig Indian, of course, I love the summer, but this season is magical...romantic and beatuful all at the same time. I am an earth sign, so I think the colours in this season are wonderfully organic and natural. By the way, we call it Autumn...
Heres to your thoughts and ability to tell a good story...
