Photographer’s Note
Maybe the most famous sculpture in Art Nouveau style in Prague is the monument for Jan Hus (ca. 1371 - 1415), the famous reformer, a national symbol for freedom who was burned at the stake for defending his ideas. The sculpture is by Ladislav Šaloun and was placed in the center of Staromĕstské námĕstí in 1915 for the 500th anniversary of the reformer's death.
Another fine example of Art Nouveau architecture is the yellow palace in the background, by Osvald Polívka.

Auch das wieder eine nette Impression aus Prag, Günther. Das Denkmal im Vordergrund kontrastiert gut mit den schön renovierten Häusern dahinter, und Du hast einen guten Blickwinkel ausgewählt, der Herrn Hus genau zwischen den beiden Gebäuden platziert. Schönes Licht und gute Schärfe, well done.

Bonsoir mon ami Guenther,
Le cadrage est particulièrement réussi. La sculpture de style Art Nouveau est parfaitement placée. L'arrière-plan est bien valorisé par ce bâtiment (que je trouve baroque) qui, il faut le reconnaître est étonnant pour une architecture relevant de l'Art Nouveau.

Very nice, very sharp photo with good exposure. This was presented with the sculpture and the buildings as your subject. They seem to clash against each other but sharpness of the whole photo nullifies it.

la tua però è decisamente migliore!
colori stupendi, forti, caldi, un ottimo contrasto con il ferro ossidato della statua.
ottimo anche il POV e quel pezzo di bandiera ceca che compare in mezzo al tutto è veramente ottimo!

The shade/light opposition is very nice here, and the well lit facade provides a superb background, the DoF is good to have both foreground and background sharp, the colors pastel are very nice, it's a nice photo, just a small rotation to the left would be the final touch.

Hallo Günter,
sehr schöne Architektur.Meinem Geschmack nach -aber nur für den Fall,daß die Stilrichtung in etwa dazu gepaßt hätte - wäre es besser gewesen,das Bild links nicht so abrupt mit der Hauskante zu beschneiden.Das ist aber meine persönliche Sicht.
