Photographer’s Note
Today I bring you a photo from Tomar, a city located near Fátima, where we have the famous Santuário (Sanctuary - please see "http://www.santuario-fatima.pt/portal/index.php?lang=EN")
This town was founded in 1159 by the first Grand Master of the all-powerful Order of the Knights Templar in Portugal, Gualdim Pais. The Order consisted of knights whose main purpose was to help the Portuguese in defeating the invading Moors. In return the knights received lands and political powers that in the end became their eventual undoing as their strength and wealth became too much of a threat to the Church. The Pope Clement V in 1314 decided to act and suppressed the Order. The Portuguese King Dom Dinis promptly reacted by creating the new Order of Christ and this organization was given the assets and power of the previous Knights Templar. The famous Portuguese Prince "Henry the Navigator" was made the Governor of the Order in 1418 and used liberally their funds together with their logo of a white cross to finance his exploration voyages of the world.

Olá Paulo,
Excelente ponto de vista e ainda com moldura natural. Muito boas cores, sharp e luminosidade. Não sabia desta cidade, com uma história secular.
Um grande abraço,
Leonor

Hi Paulo,
This view on the roofs of the city is very nice indeed. The light that makes the colours a little bit hazy suits very well I think. The natural framing is excellent as well.
Good piece of work!

Hello Paulo,
This is an amazing photograph. I like the way that you have framed the buildings in the town with the outline of the trees; it works verly well. Great point of view and the clarity is excellent. Well done.

Olá Paulo,
Que rica perspectiva e janela de contraste, sombra e vegetação para capturar este optimo cenário de Tomar. Qualidade, contraste e um bonito cartão ilustrado desta cidade bem bonita e historica.
Muito bom trabalho e composição.
Um abraço.

I like the way you have almost completely framed the town by trees. You had a great POV.
The tower is in the right position (bottom left third) for a classic composition.
Well done

Hi Paulo, nice natural framing for this view of the city and an interesting note. I first thought that the framing tree are eating too much of the picture but on a second thought I can see some charm to it: The city appears as if thru a window and there is enough light inside the house to show us details of the window frame.
