Photographer’s Note
Early morning at benaulim beach in goa, India. The fishermen start their fishing at midnight and returns around four aclock in the morning. Many people gathers at the beach and rapidly clears the nets from the catch. The men quickly pull up the boats and puts out the nets for drying and then disappears to their villages.
Within a couple of hours the beach is empty apart from the birds feasting on leftovers, soon the joggers will appear.

great color and well composed picures.
In my opinion, if you want to create a moody feel , you should make the foreground darker, and less forground ( crop them ).
whereas if you want to look from another perspective, a brighter side, you should make the foreground much brighter than this.
i posted a workshop version along with this, hope you like it
* just my opinion ...

Goa is a place I would like to visit, specially for its Portuguese past. I like the picture but I think it would work better in a panoramic view, croping a bit on the bottom :)

Very nice photo and a glimpse into another life. Lovely warm colors and well balanced scene. I love the drying nets in the foreground, the boat, and the palm trees in the sunlight. Well done.

Hi Jakob
A very unique sunrise shot with unique silhoutte. It's a good way of laying the fishing net in the foreground to create a mood and having the boat resting on shore against the orangy sky.
It's a good angle as well, put all the elements perfectly into a picture, including that bird which flew across.
As for the workshop version editted by Ivan, yeah, it give a cheerful mood by saturating the picture, but it have reduces the perfect mood (sunrise) away from the original.
Color play a vital part in each photo and accordingly to the surrounding atmosphere as well. Sunrise normally allowed very groomy and grovvy feel, (yeah, a new fresh day), hence picture such as your with that mood is right.
Well done, Jakob.

Wonderful colours and great silhouettes. I like the way the nets seem to frame the boat. The palm trees tell us this is a tropical setting. I like the low perspective - it makes the boat break the horizon. And well done for capturing the bird!

Great photo. I would take the bird out. disturbs the tranquility of the scene. would've lose the bottom but then I saw it was a fishing net, so it goes well with the story so it's good to be there.
btw... the workshop version from ivanhooace sux bigtime (no offense)
