Photographer’s Note
Another photo from the Salar de uyuni area in southern Bolivia. This was shot just after we passed the Bolivian border, coming from Chile, along the Jewels road. In this high altitude place there are lots of lagons with different strong colors. You get the blue lagon, the red, the yellow, the green and so on. This is the green or "laguna verde" in the local tongue.
The color is made up from alga in the water that shows in different shades when the wind blows and mix up the water. You can see the effect very clearly if you look at the water and how it has a different color in the choppy area.

Wauw...what a wondeful coloured picture. good compo with the mountain so central. It gives a bit of peace in the compo. I don't know what would happen if you put the mountain to the side more.

It's so colorful and dramatic! Great nature photo. The horizontal disposition of the elements are claiming for a longer more panoramic disposition of the image, but anyway, it's a great work. Regards.

Nice photo. The colours are brilliant and very deep. Very good details of the structure of the mountain as well, but there is quite some noice in the photo, so I tried a ws for you.

Welcome to the TE Bolivian Lagunas club !
This actually is quite a way up from the salar de Uyuni, as you mentionned in the note this ls the famous "Laguna Verde", the jewel of Bolivia. The rising volcano behing it is the Licancabur and marks the border with Chile. You captured well here the unique colors of the place, a gift of the high altitude and the pollution free air.

Incredible colors and contrast for thi superb composition. The polarized blue sky has a dramatic intensity. It's really a place that a lot of people would like to visit !

I think the central composition works very well here. Due to its simplicity this almost looks like an abstract. The different textures and colors are vivid and beautiful.
