Photographer’s Note
A young girl in a small alley in Madurai. There is a symbol of a Communist Party behind her. She is not interested in politics.

Hi Maciej,
Its interesting how just being placed in front of such a sign might imply to at first sight of some political afiliation. In any case, nice contrast between the nice easygoing girl and the heavy meaning behind the graffiti.

Hello Maciej,
this one is really nice, I like the postion of her arm which matches very well with the symbol. I find again your portrait touch that I enjoy very much.
Excellent.

ofcourse.. with the tainted image of politics, not many people are interested.
however times are slowly changing.. the younger generation is getting more and more involved and these younger guys are doing a much better job than many of the older ones till now.
but yeah on the whole.. a lot of people are not interested in politics..
and when it comes to kids.. obviously!!! why waste your childhoos on politics when there are so many better things to do :)
oooh communism... i love it!!!!!
the idea is just amazing.. and for our undergraduation we had to study all this.. and have to say that the classical russian economics like Bukharin and Preobrazhensky are some of the most interesting ideologists i've come across
however.. if people believe that communism ever existed, then they're totally off it. it's a eutopian state where money has NO value at all. it will never exist because the humankind is too crappy for communism to ever exist. so we have to make to with captilesm or rather global imperialism
it's also very stupid that the communist parties want to model india after china, especially since the role of the state in both the countries is very different.
to begin with india can never impose the ceiling on the number of kids per family to 1.
the govt will collapse if it tries to do it forcefully
i'll see you around later :)

Beautiful smile. It seems like nobody is interested in politics anymore, or at least not the communist party judging from the state of the symbol. I like the tight crop and the composition with the girl to the left. The wide angle distortion of her features works really well with the light from above that accentuates the shapes of her face.

The graffiti in the background is a great element for a photo and the girl is cute too, but I just think you can do better to make this a more active rather than static image Maciek. Not as challenging as you are capable of.

great portrait Maciek! you got a great help from this extraordinary BG;;-) and her lovely and happy face makes the difference! bravo!
why do you reduce so much your posts? why not go as far up as 800px by 650? they look like thumbnails, what a pity for us!
have a nice we!

Not the best one you have.. I don't understand your choice.. Yopu have gems in your gallery and you post this one..
She is cute, but I don't see anything linking this girl to the sign.
By the way , the states governed by the communists in India are the most advanced ones, where literacy is a lot higher than in the other states.. Kerala and West Bengal. there is also less corruption in those states..
