Photographer’s Note
The way building constructions are going on...I really dont know wheather Imtiaz and Hamid's father works here or not.. But really they are one class of people who never get acknowledgement..
These are the people behind so many Big architechtural wonders..
I put two shots in workshop as a close and long shot..
I basically dont like the vertical shots but here it is one.. I was bit disturbed about the lamp on the lamp post at the right side too..

You show us a great social document, about the hard and not very safe working conditions that many workers suffer all around the world. Regards.

So interesting! They are perfectly staggered on the scaffolding. I like the close up version as well. Nice catch! JP

Hi Sandip,
I have seen this earlier in the past when traveling to South-East Asia
I think it was Indonesia.
Its funny to see how well this works and quite fast too even without the modern machines.
Too bad we don’t see the bricks or cement blocks being transported
But all together it’s a good capture of men at work
Well framed and cropped

I think this is great Sandip - what a wonderful composition/crop - it is a rare find to get a vertical human diagonal like this - well spotted and executed - I can see why the light bothers you but many people wouldn't even see t for what it was. A little bit of work to paint it out in Photoshop - the compo is so compelling you don't really notice it so much - very nice image! I like the longshot especially too!

Hi Sandip,
Good PJ shot, and nice compo, the jagged diagonal line created by the people goes straighgt through the picture and is also the center of attentions. I guess what is missing is some more action, it would have been nice to see one of the people bend down to get something from the person below, to break the symmetry. The picture is a little on the pale side, but I guess that's a matter of taste more than anything (and monitor too).

It loooks dangerous, but I know hat bamboo scafoldings are very strong, I saw a skycraper in China that is covered with bamboos..but I wouldn't dare to try it.
Anyway, I like the diagonal lines here, and the very good industrial coposition. Very well spotted, Sandip.

Bonjour Sandip,
J'ai toujours montré mon émerveillement par ces échaffaudages en bambous utilisés en Asie, même pour la construction de très hauts édifices. C'est très loin de nos normes de sécurité européennes.
Les ouvriers forment une belle diagonale ;-))
Belle capture. Bien vu !

This men diagonal is very well framed here. The impression of fragility is quite strong ;-). This vertical shot is perfectly served by the context we can see. But your close shot has a higher graphic impact IMO. Anyway this one is much more adapted to the subject you wanted to expose. I would increase shadows and midtones slightly to give it more "matter", I think the men diagonal would come out stronger.

Hello Sandip,
an interesting shot, but the composition is excellent, I like the diagonal make by the workers and this scaffolding "made in India" ;o). But I prefer the closer version of your pic.
Sandip you continue to amaze me with your original post.

Nicely seen Sandip this diagonal of people and very pleasant to introduce here the construction works how they use all the wood, dangerous job they have. The close shot is very good too, just a tiny crop on bottom.

Sandip, this is almost journalistic stuff... and good one i must say!
I like the overall compo, the human diagonal is delicious and the colours and contrast are very good.
It bothers me the structure where this men are standing, it seems so fragile. Very well seen and better made photo.
Obrigado (thanks in Portuguese)

you have spotted a great diagonal... it doesn't look very easy to work on those constructions.
It seems like there's a lot of new buildings in your neighborhood !

Hi.
Belle compo avec cette diagonale humaine !
Incroyables ces échaffaudages, on se demande comment ils tiennent.
Great capture.

You've made a good decision here Sandip with the composition you present. No doubt this is a cluttered scene, but the line of workers extending upward at an angle really needs to be seen in its entirety. The vertical orientation is perfect as is your decision not to use the full 800 pixels. We get to see the entire image this way. Fine color and detail as well. Good work.

Nice and intresting photo of daily life in India. I like the repetition of the blue elements and the way the ladder is layed.

A good shot with good composition. It would be very dangerous for them to work in this environment. But a interesting shot.

It's true that there are more horizontal that not vertical pictures... but sometimes a vertical composition is necessary.
And here is necessary. You make right.
Fantastic photo.
