Photographer's Note

The ROM building was built in stages, starting with what is now called the west wing in 1912. The west facade of this old building is shown on the bottom picture. There is a nice walking path along it called the Philosopher's walk.
In 1932 they built an addition, now called the east wing, this is shown on the top picture. (It was taken in Dec.13, 2018). This building is highly decorated with relief sculptures, and connected to the west wing at its centre to form an H shape building. Between the two guard lion sculptures in front of it was the main entrance to the ROM until the latest addition in 2006.
The latest addition called the Crystal filled up the the top part of the "H", with a very high tech, modern, expensive and controversial structure. The main entrance to the ROM is through the Crystal, but the old entrance is also used and called the Queen's Park entrance.
I have posted earlier a north side view of the building here.
There is a closeup view of two of the relief sculptures on the east wing in the Workshop.
