Photographer's Note

Another one of the eleven watermills located on the Guadalquivir River in Córdoba, Spain. This one known as Molino de la Albolafia has not been restored.

The mills considered emblematic of the city date from the Middle Ages and were a source of great wealth to the city at that time.

Some have been restored and are used for cultural and tourism purposes, others are in various states of disrepair.

On 30 June 2009, they were declared an Andalusian Historical Heritage site.
