Photographer's Note

A few years ago I've posted a photo of this Chapel. It's the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Nova (Our Lady of the Good News). It's situated in the countryside, around 2 kms from the village of Terena. There are several doubts about its construction but it dates from the 14th century, and it was probably built to celebrate the Battle of Salado. Temple and fortress at same time, it has the shape of a cross with four equal facades and it's sure it was used also for defensive purposes (probably connected with a religious-military order).
Inside, it has wonderful frescoes really worth to be seen.
This chapel is classified as a National Monument and it's usually open for visits.
