Photographer's Note

it is Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) of the family Pelecanidae. It has black wings and a big pink bill. It is the longest bill of any living bird. It eats fish, but also consumes birds and scavenges for scraps.

When I told Australians that I met on my excursions that I was going to Adelaide, they asked: why? What can be interesting in Adelaide?? Also on TE Adelaide is not popular. I can't understand why. It is very pleasant city. It is good base to go to Kangaroo Island, but it was the only place that I planned to see but finally didn't manage.
There is interesting Festival Centre there, very nice Botanical Garden. like in most Australian cities, but something really special is Cleland Conservation Park in the Adelaide Hills. The park conserves a significant area of natural bushland on the Adelaide Hills. It offers visitors an opportunity to walk through large enclosures and interact with Australian animals such as kangaroos, koalas and emus, and to see others including wombats, dingos and many bird and reptile species. The park also has a variety of rare and endangered species such as the Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby, Bush Stone-curlew and Brush-tailed Bettong.
Aboriginal guides explain dreaming stories of dingoes, emus, koalas and Yurrabilla.

In the park we saw many animals and our favourite was this pelican showing us all his best sides here
and
here
Lisa also showed nice pelican, Spiky, maybe she will like this pelican too.
