Back at the quaint little harbor town of Portmagee after a lengthy round trip on Valentia Island in the far southeast of County Kerry in Ireland.
A good way to explore Valentia Island is by passing over the bridge at Portmagee, turn left immediately after the bridge and enjoy the narrow lanes, steep cliffs and beautiful scenery on Valentia Island to end at Knighstown from where you can take a ferry back to the ring of Kerry. Unfortunately we where one week to early in the season and the ferry was still closed. Luckily though there is a fast and broad road alongside the coast of Valentia Island from Knightstown that brings you back in a mere 15min. to Portmagee, where a stroll in the harbor and a tea at one of the local Pubs are a great way to stretch your legs
