Sveti Georgije ubija aždaju (pravoslavne ikone)

Po hrišćanskom predanju, Sveti velikomučenik Georgije (takođe Sveti Đorđe) bio je rimski vojnik poreklom iz Male Azije a kasnije. Sveti Georgije je jedan od svetaca koji se najviše slave u pravoslavnoj crkvi, međutim, takođe se slavi i u katoličkim zemljama. Ovekovečen u priči gde ubija aždaju, slavi se u Kanadi, Kataloniji, Engleskoj, Etiopiji, Gruziji, Grčkoj, Crnoj Gori, Portugalu, Srbiji, kao i u gradovima Istanbulu, Ljubljani i Moskvi. Takođe je svetac zaštitnik velikom broju profesija, organizacija i bolesnika.
Majstor koji je živopisao hram, akademski slikar Dragomir Jašović.
U našoj crkvi ostavio i svoj autoportret - u vidu medaljona na grudima svetog Đorđa,kome je hram i posvećen.

St George killing a dragon (Orthodox icons)

According to Christian tradition, the Holy Great Martyr Georgije (also St George ) was a Roman soldier originally from Asia Minor and later. St George is one of the saints who are the most celebrated in the Orthodox Church, however, is also being celebrated in Catholic countries. Immortalized in the story where it kills a dragon , is celebrated in Canada, Catalonia, England, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia, as well as the cities of Istanbul, Ljubljana and Moscow. It is also the patron saint of a number of professions, organizations and patients.

We left the church and his self-portrait - in the form of a medallion on the chest of St. George, to whom the temple is dedicated.
