Israel’s Huleh Valley is an important wintering location and crossing point along the eastern route. At the height of the season in November and December, some 40,000 cranes can be found in the valley.

Hi Eyal. This is a fine and extremely crisp shot of the beautiful crane. It must be marvellous to see all those birds passing through Israel every year! To be honest, I think parts of the bird are overexposed. I suspect that it is caused by the scan, or is it the same on the original slide? Thanks for your excellent website. It's very impressive!
