The herd was at least 150 animals big.
They were taking an evening bath in the river.
I took the picture, wanted to take another one but the sun had already disappeared behind a cloud.

It is not always evident to be able to isolate your subject in India as there is always something else around but you could target it here perfectly with only three items, the man, the buffels and water nicely balanced together.

Very good shot Alfred.
This warm light is absolutely superb and gives a special value to the scene. I also like your framing, even if I would have cropped a bit more the bottom of it, as I allowed myself to do in a WS.
Anyway it is excellent. I like your gallery to.

Superb lighting and what a fantastic composition.
The guy is lit up so well, and that school of piranha cows speeding towards him is frightening! Can't he see them?
