Photographer’s Note
Maybe not so trouble, but deep, dark and freezing cold. Just looking down from an old railway bridge that now carries a road. The bridge is early 20th century style with pointed masonry piers.
On the left some ice in the backwater between the pier and the shore. The pier is covered with fresh snow with dents from snow falling from the bridge.
B&W with a blue cast to support the cold feeling.

Fantastic expressive shot, Ebbe. Put it immediately to my favs...
Loosing scales and orientation, feels helpless in some strange way, like falling into a deep abyss in a dream...
A very strong pic, well done, great work.

Great graffical photo. I really like the way the white snow stands against the darkness in the background. Well done Ebbe

Beautiful graphic work, Ebbe. I couldn't work out what it was till I read your note. I love the triangle of snow on the pier and the division of the frame into three distinct but inter-related areas. The light is good, and the blue cast very effective. Seems a long way from the 35 degrees C. we have in Melbourne today!

Hi Ebbe, like Jenny, I did not recognise what to see, and especially the scale was hard to find out, also after opening the thumbnail. The small tree on the pier helped.
I like your choice for the blue cast. The light and the lines are great, but the texture in the ice is the most attractive part in the picture, at least to my eyes.
Well, actually the dark triangle is'nt bad either.
You got a nice job, Ebbe, at least I think you took this one while working ;-)
You have a fine eye for these kind of subjects!

This is absolutely great, Ebbe. We don't really know what we see, and yet it's such a simple thing, but it takes a good eye to see it this way. Very nice composition, the different textures make very interesting patterns, and the color tones are very effective in conveying a cold feeling.
I like pictures that brings questions and make us loose our orientation... Very well done.

Excellent!
A really good composition and crisp texture. Light reflecting from different layers of ice is amazing.
Thanks,
Robi

Even with your explanation I can’t (fortunately) recognize anything. The beauty of this picture is the abstract, graphical composition. Great shot!
