Photographer’s Note
Leucate (Aude < Languedoc-Roussillon > south of France).
The seaside resort has 2500 inhabitants all the year and tens of thousands in summer.
The town is expanded on 4 places : Leucate-village (the old town), Leucate-beach (between the cliff and the sea), Port-Leucate (between the pond and the sea) and La Franqui (across the cliff, at the north).
A path follow the edge of the cliff (50 high from the sea), between Leucate and La Franqui.
When the weather's fine, we can see to Sète.
This cliff road has some monuments : the semaphore of the National Marine, the old fort of the High-Franqui (XVIIIth)...
At the beginning of the path, next to Leucate, there is the lighthouse.
It was open in 1951. 19,4 m high, it's 68 m above the sea.
Its fire can light to 20 milles.
Next to the pyramid-shaped tower, there is the guard's house, the machines room, a workshop and a power transformer.
On the same place stands an higher tower with a spherical top : a telecommunications and tv transmitter.

Le ciel est joli et le phare et la tour de la tv se profilent bien. Le reste de la photo est un peu sombre et on distingue que très peu de détail. La note est très intéressante.

Hi Yannis,
A view that is clear sharp, and brought in fine darker colours. You chose a good point of view that gives a good depth of field. This lighthouse is absolutely fantastic!

la tour de la télévision être sincère défigure beaucoup le paysage, j'aurais préféré un close up sur le phare. de toute façon merci pour nous avoir montré cette image

j'aime bien le graphisme des nuages dans le ciel. La succession des deux tours dans la compo rend bien. Belle réalisation.

Je suppose que c'est le sentier qui part de la Franqui, parceque depuis Leucate Je n'avais pas trouvé le chemin.
Je verrai ça l'année prochaine.
Le phare est intéressant et original, ceci mérite une prochaine image au crépuscule lorsqu'il est allumé.
