I snapped this picture while on Safari in Botswana. A herd of kudu were walking in front of our vehicle when they panicked and started to run - or in this case, fly.
This was taken in Khumaga, by the Makgadigadi Pans National Park.

Great action shot Ian!
Perfectly captured in the middle of the frame. I like the way you have managed to get no blurring on the antelope and capture its markings as well as getting good contrasts between the light and shaddows.

Great shot. Exposure is good (a little to much light, but not sure) and well "designed".
This kind of picture is hard to take since you cannot ask the animal to take ist time.
To increase your chance of having a good picture you can try to take several pictures quickly (there is a specific mode on the camera).

You took a unique moment! And it's great that you could take a short time of exposure to "freeze" the movement of the animal, but you could make a light picture at the same time. Brilliant! Regards.

Wow! What an action shot! The fact that you captured it above the road just adds so much to the moment. Well centered and taken with skill, having in mind that you might have had appx. 2 seconds the most to make this shot! Perfect!

Well done, Ian. Captured at the perfect moment. I doubt you could take another picture like this however long you waited! The antelope is perfectly placed at the peak of its jump, happily coinciding with the light road as the background so it stands out well.
