The Chesapeake Bay - Virginia Beach. Photographed at sunset during high tide. The tricky part was getting the wave just as it broke, which turned out to be harder to do that I thought it would be. Long lens combination, slightly high ISO, tripod and knowledge of when high tide would occur at this spot, timed with the proper day of the year for sun alignment and a clear day ...all factors that had to come together to get this photo. As it turned out, it was the only day this whole year that the conditions were perfect. Glad I was there. I printed this one as a 55" Canvas, have it framed and hanging in my living room.
