Wow, Yitzhak! This is typcially you, a feast of shapes and forms, a graphic piece of art. Excellent and well thought out in details, colour and composition. The light and shadows are excellent aswell.
You've got "the eye".
Artistic and professional. Very, very well seen and captured.

I already tried to make this kind of photo and the result was very deceiving.
Here you have "the thing", the perfect light, the composition, and your image is exceptional.
One detail : personally, I would have placed the beginning of the banister just in the bottom-left corner.
Great Yitzhak, really great !!!

Simply great, Yitzhak! What else could I add? ;-)
The zigzagging line is especially mesmerizing...
A wonderful asset to the Exploring shapes and colours theme, if you wish to add it.
More to come, I hope!

This is really good Yitzhak. Great use of a very strong diagonal and good work with the shadows too, of course. I really like how the shadows are pretty much seemless with the stairs themselves.

What a fantastic complex geometric shadow from such a simple form such as stairs. I like the way the shadow blends into the actual stairs and that you really have to look for them.

Excellent again Yitzhak, you really are an artist at capturing/extracting this graphisnm out of the everyday life. Is this from your engineering background? In any case, very impresive talent and portfolio.

Strong work in this one, Itzik - a very well spotted graphism that excels in the combination of the strict diagonals and verticals of the stairs, and the bending shape into which the shadows are converging. Very good. I guess shooting only the shadows might yield another spectacular result.

Hey Itzik,
Very nicely done. Again you have managed to make an everyday thing into a fine photograph. I like the how the colors go from light to very dark and the long shadow of the stairs. The tight cropping is excellent.
So I am not alone that goes back to film...

Wonderful Yitzhak! This is certainly a variation on a theme, since this subject has been treated a number of times before. Yet the dramatic shadow you've captured makes this distinctive, to the point, in fact, that I must add it to my rather short list of favorites. Bravo!
I might have brought the diagonal to the corner, and would have experimented with a bit more contrast, but the shadows take my breath away. Fine work.

Hi Yitzhak, I browsed your gallery for gems like these ;-) I remembered suddenly that I had seen such a beauty, and no time to comment. I hate it, either not enough time, or too inproductive.
This is you at your best, with great eye for line and shadows. I have not read the other comments, and I'm probably not original anymore after so many smileys, but it reminds me soo much of the inner of a concerto piano, you know which one I mean , I guess, don't know the english word for it. But the lines and the shadows are so beautiful, and the form they make together, it's SO well seen!

Très bonne composition abstraite.
Le fait de fixer le sujet pendant quelques instants donne des sensations étranges à mes yeux.
Very good abstract composition. The fact of fixing the subject during a few moments gives strange feelings in my eyes.

Fantastic. It's photos like this that inspire me to improve my photography, and look beyond the postcard shots I usually take.
To create a beautiful photo from something so mundane and ordinary as a fuel tank takes a real talent. Thanks for sharing! Now I'm off to explore your other photos...

WOW Yitzhak. I saw this on your intro page...and i am so very glad that i did. I fell in love emidietly. This is such wonderfull abstaction Yitzhak and the play with shadows is amazing. I can only coem to think of 1 thing to make this a perfect capture. If ther was a man/woman standing on the staris as well. You have done so many htings right here Yitzhak. By abstracting it in this way you force us to use our imagination. By cutting of the top they way you did you emply that this building and this staris goes on forever and ever and ever...it becomes enormous, yet, i can end just milimeters above your frame. teh way the shadow is falling and creates an arch makes me think of an open door, an invitation to explore this photo. I only miss that person standing on the stair. That would make my imagination go hey wild i think. I think this is one of your very best Yitzhak. I just love it.

A very beautiful observation - I guess most of the nice things have been said - the strong diagonals, the movement across the image from light to dark, the stuning pattern against the subtle backdrop of the tank.......just wonderful. To the favourites bin!

The composition of the shot is superb. The stairs, it shadows and the color of the wall, green and oxid, create a magic mood. The geometrical lines and the reflection of the shadow balanced the hole composition.
a piece of art.

Hello Yitzhak,
Of course I know this picture because it illustrates your site, and I am glad you reminded me to look closer. It looks very much like the one I did yesterday morning although I doubt it will take so many points. My picture is somehow a bit sad with a black background while your's bursts with colors.

I'm feeling very attracted to this kind of photography lately. I want to break them down so I can learn more about them. In this one you are presenting a very interesting game of rythm, emphasis and, I especially like how you use the shadow to create a positive space. That's WICKED!!
