"Sylvan Lake is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of the city of Red Deer along Highway 11 or Highway 11A. It is situated on the southeast edge of Sylvan Lake, a 15 kilometres (9 mi) long freshwater lake, in Red Deer County.
The lake is a popular destination for tourists from around Alberta, with over 1.5 million visitors each year. Popular tourist activities include sunbathing, swimming, water-skiing, and visiting the local Wild Rapids Waterslides."

This is a great shot considering the beautiful sky in the bg...and a very good use of the wide lens..I am trying a WS on this trying to enhance the clouds and the blue sky...do let me know how u like it..!!!

I like the strong vertical lines and the lighting. The interesting sky makes a good backdrop for the whitewashed walls.

What I really like is that you so very selectively chose to present the most interesting scenes from your trips, and this one stands out. Greece is full of those light houses given the extended coastal area it has, and it is really a nice thing to see. Imposing, bright and ready to assist on those dark unfriendly evenings the lonely fisherman... Just excellent

Hi Chris,
Indeed a nice place to visit in summer but too crowded some days! This is a well known landmark in this little place as were the waterslides(gone now I think). Good perspective showing also excellent colours. Thanks Chris!

Olá Chris, a simple architecture but with a nice contrast of colors and an atractive geometric shape. The POV looking upwards enhance the contrast with the beautiful sky. The door entrance should be red too - in white it seems like a wall...

This is a nice shot of this fine lighthouse taken from a good low perspective. The upward view makes the lighthouse seem to tower above the rest of the scene. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

The point of view is allowing us to see with precision the details and colors of the architecture of the lighthouse. The trees are framing well the lighthouse. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Chris,
une contre plongée bien calculée, pas trop verticale, légère, de quoi donner plus de majestéé à ce phare qui se détache d'un très joli ciel aux coulerus un peu rosées. Le cadrage presque parfait, sauf cet arbre mal coupà à gauche.
J'aime beaucoup, une photo qui calme.

Hi Chris,
Did not know there were lighthouses out on the prairies!
This red and white beauty stands out promimently against the beautiful blue sky with its lovely wispy clouds.

A lighthouse in a lake? Quite amazing! It must be the only one in the world!
Anyway it's a pretty fine view, with a lovely sky behind to make it standing out and that small tree at its side as a companion. I've seen the ws but I prefer this version which in my view is more natural and balanced.
