Photographer's Note

This is in “Praia dos Carneiros”, one of my favorite beaches in Brazil and still a place with very little infrastructure (you can see additional information here and here).

On one of the sides of the beach there is the Río Formoso, one of the unpolluted rivers in Brazil, and on the other the little town of Tamandaré, where some fishermen live.

I had taken a boat ride in the river (lots of mangles, crabs and shrimps) and while getting back I saw the fishing boat with the nets and was attracted by the contrast of those persons enjoying a day at the beach, and the hard life of the fishers. Like two sides of a story.

Anyway, due to the still very tranquil atmosphere of Carneiros, it is one of the places where you can see both sides of the story coexisting. (Which is not the case of beaches where big resorts have set foot).

Raw Capture at ISO 100 – f5.6 – 1/1000s @ 100 mm .
