A simple and elegant composition with the abutment and a perfect location. I am not familiar with Macapo, and certainly to see something that I don't know. The colors and resolution are first rate.

Eu sabia que teria the existir uma fortaleza construída por nós no Rio Amazonas e, estava à espera de a ver.
Gosto muito da maneira como evitáste as sombras, a altura do horizonte e do facto de teres dado um bom espaço ao lindo céu que tinhas pela frente. O posicionamento lateral da guarita ficou excelente sob o ponto de vista da composição e a curva da área verde confere um dinamismo muito bom.

Aqui novamente só posso elogiar! Gosto muito deste tipo de composição em que usou parte do forte (até se pode ver uma pontinha de sua sombra no verde gramado) para não deixar que o rio apenas ficasse monótono, apesar do céu uma vez mais belíssimo!

Desconhecia esse facto de ser aqui a maior fortaleza. Muito interessante. Aparentemente outros lugares do império precisariam de maiores fortificações que a Amazónia.
~
Achei este "mar" impressionante, tão extenso. Então fui verificar no mapa. O Amazonas é mesmo gigantesco.

Foto belíssima, Paulo. Gostei muito da torre posicionada a direita e do fundo muito bem repartido entre o céu, o rio e o gramado. Mas o que mais me chamou a atenção foram as cores e a textura das pedras do forte, parece uma imagem em 3D! Um abraço, André.

I ve got a similar picture with old Portuguese turret, but from here in Goa.. i ll post it soon to show you! You got fantastic light there, that livens up every color! And it has also architectural/historical value, to show the fort... Good off centering to offer a better view on the BG!

A nice sea scape, Paulo. The beautifully exposed sky seems to draw inspiration fom the blue ocean.
The clouds smiled and you got such a beautiful tone.
The composition is outstanding but the shadow on the left frame(probaly shadow of some wire), disturbs the purity.
