Photographer's Note

A few days along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria to escape the city and the incessant chatter and noise of the mass media. Just listening to the ocean waves, laughter of children at the beach, the cry of the seagulls.
I bought the paper just for the crossword puzzle and the front page greeted me with the words Terror Raid. The world we live in now! Collateral damage by drones and bomber jets of the Big Boys, the suicide bombers, the decapitations of civilians by fanatics and the constant threats of homegrown terrorist schemes.
One can take comfort in little pleasures of life: the sea view, a freshly baked croissant and freshly brewed coffee.
