Snorkeling with the Australian sealion somewhere along the West Australian coast is an amazing experience. The young animals like to play with the swimmers. It looks like they try to communicate with you. They have a whole set of (learned?) tricks to attract your attention:winking, blowing air bubbles, rollovers etc.

Nice underwater shot! You managed to stop the action beautifully in these lower light conditions. Your composition is fine with nice sharpness and detail. He does seem to be smiling at you, looks like you have a new friend!

Tremendous shot Henk. Love the composition - almost like a formally posed portrait. The seal is off-the-scale cute and an image like this must have huge commercial potential in wildlife magazines, dive brochures and travel brochures.
It could do with being a fraction brighter and have a tad more contrast - but that's nit-picking as this is a truly awesome shot.

Great photo. Was there any extra lighting involved. Corals and reefs often require a lot of additional lighting to bring out the colors but a moving animal is difficult to get a crisp clear photo like this. I like the moment. Well done.
