Photographer's Note

Another of those difficult choices - B&W or colour. I've gone for B&W as the main photo with a colour version as a workshop.
The "long paddock" is an old tradition in Australia, especially during droughts. Farmers would send their sheep off with drovers to spend time (possibly months) along designated stock routes looking for feed.

Much better detail in the large version.
My B&W choice is partly because the long paddock has been about since the days of mainly B&W photography.
This large flock of sheep was on the edge of the western Riverina town of Hay.
