Photographer's Note

The city of Sydney is one of the most stunning cities in the world. To my mind, only Cape Town surpasses the natural beauty of Australia's largest city. When I went to Sydney, it was winter and I was a bit unwell for quite a lot of the trip so I couldn't enjoy it as much as I might have, so I hope to go back some day and rectify that.

This is a shot of the Central Business District taken from just next to the Opera House..the blue hour atmosphere looked a bit surreal. I contemplated cropping the bottom of the picture to lose the parapet, but decided to keep it in because I would lose a lot of the water if I did. The essence of this city is its proximity to water and I didn't want to miss that.
