Photographer's Note

Jervis Bay in Southern New South Wales is a beautiful, rough coastline. The ocean pounds the rocks with enormous ferocity and this picture was taken in winter when the wind coming off the water was chilling. I admired the tenacity and perseverance of this lone fisherman who had posted himself so dangerously on the edge of a rock where the waves broke and doused him with spray every few seconds. Some waves were so big, he was forced to take a few steps backwards to avoid being swept away. Was this really worth it? I'm sure he thought so. Hope he caught something big :)
