Photographer's Note

Sydney TE members had a day out yesterday including spending the afternoon on Cockatoo Island in the upper part of Sydney Harbour (west of the bridge). The island has had a very mixed history - It has been a convict built prison, had a couple of periods as a ship repair and building (mainly naval) yard, girls reformatory etc
Its industrial life finished in 1992 and for sometime nothing happened. These days a lot of restoration has been done and lots of old building and machinery make for interesting viewing.
This particular building took the eye of us all with its green paint and rusty window shades contrasting with the blue sky.
