Photographer's Note

Today I went out to a nearby village where friends lost nearly everything in the horrendous fires that our politicians won't acknowledge have something to do with climate change. I wasn't sure whether to post photos from the visit but then I thought that everyone should see what disasters are likely if nothing is done.
There used to be a timber house behind those burnt out cars but all you can see is the remains of a water tank. There also appears to be a metal chair beside the large tree.
The sky isn't clouds - it is still smoke from the fires and not good for breathing.
At this stage we are still OK but have bags packed just in case. Friday is meant to be a another bad day.
In the workshop another destroyed house.

Even more disturbing in the large view (thanks Gert!)
