Ciao cara Lisa,

Well done and TFS!

Ciao Lisa
Everything is good here.An exposure time that make the water looking like silk, two filters to add the necessary time, a very good wide lens and a subject that is worthwhile.
Have a nice week end and don't work to much life is short.

Complimenti amica cara.
Ciao, Giorgio.

Hi Lisa,
yep I do prefer this one as well...more detail. I like this wide-angle view. I think a charcter somewhere i nthe frame would be a good addition...

Ciao Lisuzza,

Ciao Lisa,
Decisions, decisions, decisions. This is a difficult one. Comparing the two images, I prefer the right part of the workshop picture and the left half of this one! I think the lighting in the workshop picture is better on the sea and the concrete wall and railings but I'm not keen on the fact that the rocks on the left are virtually black. In this picture, those rocks are perfect but I think the concrete wall is just a tad too bright.
Whatever. All I can say is that both pictures are equally good and, of course, both share the identical composition which is excellent. The colours, lighting and exposure are wonderful and the pictures are, as usual, pin-sharp.
Come to think of it, you did use a ND Grad filter for this one, I presume with the dividing line horizontal and on the horizon. I suppose you could have used additionally a soft grad filter placed either vertically or obliquely to darken the right side of the picture. Have you ever done anything like that?
A lovely pair of pictures!
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Buona serata

Hi Lisa,
fantastic picture! This place looks frozen in time, the colors are so cold. There's kind of futuristic feel about this scene too:)

Hello Lisa,
Both pictures have their merits but on balance I think this one wins. I always enjoy long exposure work with water. The angular concrete structure makes a good composition - well shot.

Hello Lisa,I enjoy the blue satin effect of the long exposure on the sea and the low POV which maximises the use of the railings to create a really nice perspective, ending up as they do right on the skyline.
Have a nice week end,
Cheers Les.

Hello Lisa,
Two for the price of one and each with its own speciality but, on the whole, I have to agree with you that this one is just a little better.
I fine pov with good guides and the corner off-centre.
Although my preference is to have water gushing, I do appreciate why many people like it silky from a slow shutter speed.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)
I just love the name Curl Curl. I wonder where it came from!

Ciao Lisa

Hi Lisa
The soft hues of the sky blending in to the cool tones of the sea.....
The composition is superb, an excellent foreground without being over dominant and nicely balanced, and you have managed to squeeze every last drop out of the fading light. Very nice indeed, a fantastic exposure, superb water effect and lovely subdued colours. Well done
Warm regards

Hi Lisa,
Ah...Curly,,,part of where I grew up, my uncles still live there and my cousins, they will never leave, and there is no reason to, Curly is a slice of God's Country as they say there. Nostalgia here for me, I remember swimming here, even in winter, trying to harden up for winter surfing when I was kid.
Beautiful exposure and angle here, lovely shot.
Cheers

Ciao cara Diavolina,
Per me è vero... :-)
Ciao, un forte abbraccio e passa un buon fine settimana!
Il tuo Generale.

Ciao Lisa,
Love the motion blur of the seawater spilling over the saltwater pool, and the trails of the water trying to get back to the ocean at right. Good sharpness and a nice angled pov. The dark cliff at left adds graphism. Tfs!

Hello Lisa
a creative composition with such perfect lines that expand and entice you irresistably into the frame. Love the effect on the flowing water of the slow shutter speed and the translucency it creates elsewhere. Magical, atmospheric and sensual. Excellent!
Enjoy your weekend - Brian.

Howdy Curly,
I am impressed by the naturalness of the old block ugly concrete, yet beauty by creating waterfalls, and your blue view beauty image.

Hi Lisa
well, you stole my thunder!
I was about to post a similar water-fall shot with the silky-time-exposured water...damn you! it'll have to wait.
looking at the two shots...its hard to pick a favorite for me, i enjoy both for different reasons.
But what i enjoy most is the actual pool itself...you guys in aussie land have some strange looking pools!
strange but cool.
and i like that you have the corner in the middle, with the 2 long perspective lines on each side flaring out.
its getting warmer here in Van now...finally!!!
see you around

Ciao Lisa,
nice the bluish colour tints surrounding the platform and making the scene even more attractive.I did a WS making the same as you,but worked only with the light of the platform and lighten a bit of the rock on the left.I hope you like it.

Hi dear Lisa,
This photo presents not only a good sample for lnog time exposure but also has a very artistic double focal point perspective generated by the concrete structure in th middle.
Very good management of light, good job!
Have a nice week,

Bonjour Lisa,
Daniel.
