Photographer's Note

I categorized this as a "decisive moment" because (1) I went to take surf pctures when I saw this "opportunistic image" and (2) this may be a decisive moment for this child walking on the beach in his father's footsteps. I had seen direct images here before, however it had been high tide, and I had never really seen these reflections, or realized they existed. Somebody on TE critiques using the phrase "Well seen" and I am begining to appreciate the depth of meaning therin.

We, adults, are so busy most of the time that we forget to talk with, rather than at, our chilren. This interaction was categorized by a great deal of give and take between adult and child. They stopped and played with other people's dogs, did little exercises, and stopped to examine objects in the sand.
