Photographer's Note

Away from Australian fires today to somewhere volcanic.
Kilauea is the active volcano on the island of Hawaii (Big Island). It has a massive crater. Eruptions in 2018 have resulted in much of the access roads being closed off so this is currently the most accessible view of the main crater. Things were quiet when we were there so we weren't there for flowing and hot lava.
There was plenty of steam rising around the crater and also from amongst plants near the lookout - see a photo of that in the workshop.

Best in the large view.
