Photographer's Note

Larger and sharper version on beta-TrekEarth or HERE.

It is not important what you photograph but what light you have. I think this picture compared with my previous upload will well illustrate it. My previous upload showed an important and very interesting landmark in an extraordinary location, but the light was quite poor, hence the photo became relatively dull and not too many people commented on it. Here we can see some random buildings with a fragment of a highway ramp, but the light in the early hours on that day was fantastic. I bet it will attract more attention than the previous photo. Optimally of course I would like to share here some interesting places taken always in a great light but of course it is not always possible. Since this website is called TrekEarth, and the aspect of travel is at least equally important as the quality of photos, sometimes I want to share a place I visited regardless the quality of the image.

This picture was taken in the Port of Miami from a ferry terminal before the departure from Miami to Bimini (The Bahamas). You can identify the buildings by clicking on the map in the panel on the right side. They are located along the Biscayne Blvd. Second one houses some condos while the fourth one is an upscale hotel with spa.
