[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
Tower Theatre is in Sacramento, California, and was opened in 1938. It's a movie theatre that shows alternative/art-house films, but is currently under threat from proposed developments in the city. On the board in the foreground of the shot there is a URL for their campaign ( which is www.savethetowertheatre.org ).

Now for a note on the image. I don't have a tripod, so I was fairly pleased that it came out as well as it did. In saying that, although I got some nice colours and captured some of the art-deco architechture, there's a lot of dark areas there too. I would have liked it if they'd lit up more of the building!

I like the angle of this picture. The perspective looks up and it gives a feeling of height.

Hi Peter - this is perfectly accepatable without a tripod, unfortunately there were many vintage theatres in SF that could not be saved from the wrecking ball, I hope this one escapes that fate.
