Photographer's Note

Often called as "the rock" Alcatraz is an island located at the middle of San Francisco Bay. It served as a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison, and a Federal Bureau of Prisons federal prison until early 1960's then later became a national recreation area and received landmarking designations and one of the tourist spots in the area.

Shot taken at Pier 39, in one of the loading docks. Here's my souvenir from the windy bay area. From my view it looked like a battle ship, isn't it? Took my tripod and just made a 140" exposure. Enhanced tones, added contrast and applied a graduated filter on it. Enjoy!
