Arriving in Salt Lake (Goodbye USA)

This photo concludes my 2017 Canada & U.S.A. Travelogue, which started on July 29, when we were still in Vancouver. Exactly 111 photos later, it’s time for other places to be posted again, which of course doesn’t mean I won’t post some more photos from this trip later on. Just like last year, this last photo of the trip was taken using my mobile phone during our flight home (both explaining the somewhat poor quality and the dirty window), or in this case more precisely while descending into Salt Lake City International Airport, where we had a transfer for our flight to Amsterdam later that day. And I admit it frankly, colouring in Utah on my U.S. map is part of the reason for posting this photo, too.

Salt Lake City International Airport (IATA: SLC) is a major hub for Delta Air Lines (which operated our flight from Las Vegas to SLC and code shared our KLM flight to AMS). The airport is located about 6.4km from Salt Lake City, the capital and largest city in the U.S. state of Utah. This photo shows Salt Lake City in the background and the shores of the Great Salt Lake in the foreground.

The workshop features a photo of Salt Lake City International Airport itself.
