Photographer's Note

Here in Cades Cove nestled in the Great Smoky Mountain National park is many empty cabins, churches and farms that were turned over to the park service after many of the families moved on. There are many Hollows with cabins or homesteads if you like tucked away in the openings. They are free to investigate as well as walk the grounds. Rugged houses as well as rugged people once lived here. The Cades Cove loop is 11 miles long and starts outside of Townsend Tennessee.
