Photographer's Note

The Airstream caravan, or more correctly "trailer" is one of those iconically American objects, as American as apple pie, waffles and Cadillacs. This ageing piece of Americana was situated almost in the shadow of the Forth Railway bridge at South Queensferry. How it came to be there I couldn't say but though old and a little patched and battered it appears to be still in use.

I was in the area to try and capture a sunset featuring the Forth Railway bridge and once I've had chance to sort through the images I'll be posting a representative on here. It was a beautiful calm evening and I watched the sun dip majestically into the West scattering beautiful colours over the bridge and the surrounding countryside.

I like this picture for the way in which the polished aluminium shell of the Airstream catches the reflections of the setting sun.
