Photographer's Note

A second picture from the UK TE meeting in Shropshire. We visited Ludlow castle and climbed to the top of one of the towers. Below the oudoor stage was set inside the Inner Bailey of the castle for the Ludlow Festival Shakespeare event. Much Ado about Nothing was the play being presented for two weeks. We visited on Sunday and no performance was scheduled. Thanks to Wilson (Jaywalker) a lady was persuaded to sit on one of the wet chairs to complete the composition. Some may recognise her! Ludlow Castle is a magnificent medieval ruined Norman fortress. It was originally built to hold back the Welsh. In 1461 it became Crown property and remained a royal castle for 350 years. It was abandoned in 1689.
Ludlow holds many festivals but I fear that the very wet summer may have affected this particular one.
