Photographer's Note
Today -29th October- is a quite important day in the history of Turkey.
Exactly 96 years ago on 29 October 1923 Mustafa Kemal Atatürk had ended the Ottoman Empire and founded the modern Republic of Turkey.
Since than, every year on 29th October, this most important event in the history of Turkey is been celebrated 24 hours long.
At the day time -everywhere in Turkey- parades are made in main roads or places and at the nigth time another parades with music and lantern procession accompanied with music takes place.
Here on one of the majör shopping streets of İstanbul, this woman is selling red ballons with flag, which will be used during the parrade at the evening.

Merhaba Mesut
A good daily life scene from the streets of Goztepe, with the heart shaped red balloons with the white crescent that also appears on the Turkish flag, appealing to patriotic heart strings! Tfs!

Hello Mesut, the bright red balloons are very attractive and draw the eyes into this scene from the street.
Interesting notes to accompany your sharp shot.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hello Mesut,
What a very bright and colourful photo. It's a marvellous collection of Turkish flags swaying in the air. The surroundings of people and trees and a street-stall also make the photo very nice and interesting.
Kind regards,
Gert

Bonjour Mesut,
On peut toujours critiquer ce que le nouveau président veut faire de la Turquie, mais on ne peut résister à ses habitants peu importe l'ethnie. Une belle scène de rue bien animée.

Hi Mesut
as i'm writing this at 0930 hours, its probably late in the evening in Turkey and the parade is happening now :) Congrats, and have a fun time :) In 6 years it will be the 100th year!
I like the photo because the balloons are for a celebration, but the lady looks quite bored haha. fun shot

Bonjour, cher Mesut,
Intéressante note historique.
Quant à la femme vendant ses ballons (qui sont gonflés à l'hélium, je suppose), elle ne risque pas de s'envoler tout de suite.
Une composition vivante !
Amitiés.

Hello Mesut,
This is a wonderful view to celebrate Turkey. The red and white balloons match perfectly with the red and white awning behind them. The street looks full of activity, too. I hope it was an enjoyable celebration. :-)
