Photographer's Note

Part of the the modern town of Güzelsu (formerly Hosap), can be seen here along with the serrated teeth like mud battlements atop a wall built in the early Ottoman era. It also looks like a dinosaur's back in the old Flintstone's cartoon:

The surrounding terrain continues to look desolate long after the old Ottoman arsenic and tin mines from 1831 AD in Hosap have closed. Maybe the soil is now contaminated with arsenic and plants have a tough time surviving?
