Photographer's Note

Another capture from the beautiful district of Istanbul on the Asian side of the Bosphorus.
A wonderfull district with many small bars, cafes and many many art galleries.
Under the leadership of many artists, literates etc living here, people do not allow to build ugly skyscrapers; instead they keep the existing traditional atmosphere and architecture.

Kuzguncuk is the new hot spot for Istanbulites and tourists with its history, architecture, coffee shops and chocolatiers
Although the neighborhood of Kuzguncuk is one of the many modest communities along the Bosporus, it plays an important role in Istanbulites' collective consciousness with its history of peaceful coexistence. For centuries, this quaint neighborhood was home to a mix of Jews, Greeks, Armenians and Turks, evidenced by the synagogues, churches and mosques that rise side by side in the traditional and beautiful Kuzguncuk.

Here, at the basement of one of those traditional houses an old couple are sitting and enjoying their tea's under the warm autumnal sun.
