Photographer's Note

The harsh back-lighting here made this a difficult shot. The caves and niches carved by the ancient Greeks and Byzantines were not visible from the other side although the light was certainly better. I have attached a self explanatory plaque in Turkish & English as a workshop. Behind me is the Midas Monument of the Phrygians dating from the 6th or 7th century BC. It was dedicated to the mother Goddess, Cybele.
