Photographer's Note

This is a man-made waterfall with a real spring water, for which Kizilcahamam is famous. These 'Düs Gemileri'(Dream Sailboats) on it is dedicated to Kizilcahamam by civil people.

Kızılcahamam is a district of Ankara Province of Turkey, 70 km north of the city of Ankara, near the motorway to Istanbul. Area 1,712 km². Population (2000) 33,623.

The area is mountain and forest, a geographical voundary between central Anatolia and the Black Sea regions.

Kızılcahamam itself is a small quiet market town known for its healing hot springs and mineral waters and nearby Soğuksu National park contains a scout camp and many popular spots for walks and picnics in the forest. Therefore there are hotels and guest houses in the area including a variety of spa hotels, some of them popular retreats for Ankara's politicians.
